This hasn't received too much play as of late but a sniper(s) remains at large and continues to take aim at motorists along Interstate 270 in Ohio.
A bullet that pierced a van's windshield this week has been linked to a series of highway sniper attacks, bringing the number of shootings to 21.
The shooting on Tuesday expands the target area of the presumed sniper, the authorities said on Friday. It happened 15 miles south of where most of the other attacks occurred.
Cars, school buses and houses have been shot since May on or near a stretch of Interstate 270 south of Columbus. A car passenger was killed in November.
Ballistics tests on the latest bullet determined that it is one of at least eight to come from the same gun used in the deadly attack, the authorities said.
