The Bushies are making a mockery of the military
Fuckers.
(T)he Bush administration is going directly to the public with its war message. Raul Damas, associate director of political affairs at the White House, has been on the phone directly to Republican county chairmen to arrange local speeches by active duty military personnel to talk about their experiences in Iraq. To some Republican members, this unusual venture connotes a desire to go directly to the people to sell the president's position without having to deal with members of Congress. This is incredible. It's time for everyone who believes in having an apolitical military to go here and file a complaint with the DoD's Inspector General.

Geez, can they do that? I mean wouldn't they have to change the rules or something? Forcing the Military to be political is really scuzzy. These thugs will do ANYTHING.
Complaint filed.
Hmmm. During the 2004 elections, we had public service announcements on AFN all the time reminding us that servicemembers were not allowed to make public political statements.
Guess they forgot to add "unless it's in favor of the current administration."
