Debunked: New smears against Dems from Moonie rags

A week ago, the Washington Times staff was, according to Wes Pruden, sputtering over claims that the paper and the (other) right wing nutjobbers at Insight magazine were connected. "Some of the editors here get annoyed when Insight is identified as a publication of the Washington Times," Pruden told the New York Times.

Insight had just run a smear article claiming that Barack Obama had gone to a Muslim madrassa as a child and implied he had been inculcated in the ways of Muslim extremism. The right wing press ran with the story--including several Fox News programs and, yep, the Washington Times. But, when some actual journalists did something I hear is called reporting, it turned out the entire story was unfounded.

What wasn't unfounded, of course, was the connection between the Times and Insight. According to Insight's own web site, it is published "by News World Communications like its sister publication The Washington Times" (News World is, of course owned and operated by Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church) and, if you want to send a letter to Insight editor Jeffrey Kuhner, his email address is jkuhner@washingtontimes.com.

The real question, though, is whether Insight will distance itself from the Times now that it's been caught publishing false allegations against Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

Jeff Kuhner may even want to change his email address.

It is obviously too late to save us from the horror Moon funded, molded, and brought to power in 2000 but you want to cause a stir and educate your nation at the same time?

It is really your patriotic duty to do this….

Everyone should get behind an effort to make Moon, his organization and its media, including Insight and the Washington Times, register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). The congressional investigation of his organization proposed this 30 years ago. There is NO DOUBT he is a foreign agent, bringing in billions of overseas dollars to manipulate our political system. He brags about doing that. His daughter in law said the money is laundered into the country by the bagful. The courts in Japan say he swindles huge sums from the citizens of Japan. Moon tells his members not to consider themselves citizens of the USA or Japan or wherever but that they are citizens of Cheon Il Guk which is his one world vision, a world under his group’s influence.

Why not push for the WT to register under FARA now? Sure, Moon's media has already brought these freaks to power over the last 25 years, and he could sell his media, it has done it job. But at least it may make TV actually say Moon's name, something they won't do. It would possibly make it to where the people in this country actually find out WHO has pushed the right and the Republican Party into thier extremist cult like funk.

You can see three conservative editors of Moon’s media in 1991 proposing and giving the reason why this should be done if you go to google videos and search “Cults and the media”.

or click here and watch it. See how the game is played. Moon's followers know how the game is played, why can't the American public?

All I can say about Ned's comment is "Is he right or is he right or is he right"?
